Student Leadership Campaign

The ISES St. Louis Chapter encourages students interested in the special events fields to get involved with the organization. Each year the chapter offers student scholarships to cover one-year's student membership fees plus educational meeting costs. Students are encouraged to participate in all chapter activities as well as visit members' businesses to understand the disciplines that make up our chapter.

2008-2009 Leadership Award Applications will be going out soon!

For more information about this Student Leadership Program or future student programs, please contact Leslie Ramsey, of Live Nation at 314-298-9944 or leslieramsey@livenation.com.

The International Special Events Society (ISES) - St. Louis Chapter is seeking college students who have the desire to build upon their education and are looking for career-building opportunities in the special events industry. The Chapter is once again underwriting student memberships in ISES for the best and brightest to join our ranks. ISES VP of Education, Leslie Ramsey, has been contacting local university special event programs and educators to inform them of these exciting opportunities for their students. These opportunities include:

  • Outstanding Career Networking
  • Shadowing a board member of a chapter, which comprises experts in various disciplines including: Event Planning and Coordination, Special Event Management and Production, Design Decor and Graphic Arts, Technical Services and Products, Food Service (Caterers), Venue Management, Public Relations and Marketing, Fundraising and Non-profit Event Planning
  • World Class Recognition & Education: Joining an international network that comprises more than 3,000 members in more than a dozen countries. The organization promotes life-long education for event professionals through regional/national conferences and the Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) exam- the hallmark of professional achievement in our industry.
  • Hands on Planning Experience: Attending one of our chapter's monthly Board of Directors Meetings. The student may also attend any of the chapter educational meetings free of charge. The student may also participate in the planning and implementation of two premiere events, the Annual Louie Awards in March, and Trolley Tour in July
