Education

The ISES St. Louis chapter takes great pride in offering its members the opportunity to grow professionally not only by networking, but by learning about issues that affect their business on a daily basis. These topics include new event industry trends, legal issues facing the industry, insights into other event industry disciplines, and a look at larger scale events. . The 2007-2008 Board Members hope to continue the amazing programs we had in the 2006-2007 year.

The Chapter also holds fundraisers that include the annual "Taste of St. Louis Caterers," which offers education regarding trends in the catering industry through food and beverage and the "Trolley Tour," which views new and “hot” venues in the St. Louis area. For a list of the program dates that have been selected for the 2007-2008 year, please visit the Home page and click on the Event Calendar.

For its efforts, the St. Louis Chapter has received the 2002-2003 and 2004-2005 ISES Spirit of Excellence Award for Excellence in Programming and Education.

Another valuable tool that ISES offers is the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) designation.

The CSEP designation is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. It is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and reflects a commitment to professional conduct and ethics. Moreover, the CSEP can make you more attractive to potential clients and employers.

The CSEP designation is awarded by the International Special Events Society (ISES) and its Certification Committee. For more information regarding the CSEP Program, please contact Kim Rhein at 314-664-7680 or kim@butlerspantry.com or visit the ISES International Website under the CSEP tab.
